Current Project

I’m currently working on books 6 and 7 of the Panids of Koa series. They will form parts 1 and 2 of a story arc too big for one book.

As of May 2024, book 6 is in the final stages of editing. However, because book 7 continues immediately after those events book 6 won't be published until the writing of the second part is well underway. Sometimes there's a need to go back and make alterations to support ideas that come along unplanned!

With luck, I’ll be done both by the end of 2024. I'm intending to make books 6 and 7 the last of the Panids of Koa Series.

In between writing books 6 and 7, I'm also compiling an anthology of Folk Tales from Koa. There are many tales mentioned and told in the prequels. Along with these, I'm writing others with an aim to producing a book of them.

Once I’ve completed the above projects I want to return to the prequels and work on other books not connected with the Panids.

After more than a year of work, I’ve finally completed the development of Books 1, 2 and 3 of The Panids of Koa series. Each book is now approximately 20,000 words longer with some character name changes to better reflect the culture they originate from (See below for a list of these). The name changes I’ve made only affect a few characters in books 5 and 6 and don’t impact the story arc of any of the books. The development of books 1, 2 and 3 has focused on references to the prequels, inconsistencies in the texts, enhancing the writing and generally adding to the detail of Koa’s cultures and history. The series now feels accurately linked to the prequels.

Each book now has a new cover and I’ve altered the design of all five books to unify the series.

Many minor and secondary characters' names have been changed in the updated versions of books 1, 2 and 3 of The Panids of Koa series and several major characters have also been renamed.

Ollce is now Etefu

Halleck is now Tebeb.

Naicarn is now Varin

Prince Vennik is now Prince Vishak

Empress Issarn is now Empress Jalsa Treya

Prince Jacarn is now Prince Sarin

Princes Lerra is now Princess Urvasi

Jerrad is now Natesh.

and

Mia Sara is now Mia Svara

All of the books now feel like a unified series.
